November 2008:

At the Euro Dog show in Kortrijk, Belgium, Chayo Better Than Chocolate wins her first reserve CACIB from the intermediate class.

At the Working and Pastoral Breeds of Scotland Show Ch Chayo Dom Perignon won the Breed, went on to win Working Group 2

October 2008:

At Midland Counties Show Ch Chayo Dom Perignon wins the Breed, goes on to win Working Group 1 and then ultimately Reserve Best In Show, under world renowned Judge Mrs Renee Sporres-Willes. Thanks once again to all the people who supported Louis at the Show and afterwards.

At AMCUK Club Champ Show BPISS was 'Gabrielle'  Chayo Chasing Dreams.

September 2008:

Can Ch. Keikewabic's Kiaranuk Chayo Tara wins Best in Show 4 at Tvaaker National Show and Best in Show 5 at Nykoping National in Sweden.

At Darlington Ch Show Chayo Better Than Chocolate wins Limit Bitch, Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex.

At City of Birmingham Championship Show, Chayo 'do the double'. Ch Chayo Dom Perignon won Best Dog and Best Bitch and Best of Breed was won by our Spanish import Stair de Ruta Norte.

August 2008:

At Welsh KC Championship Show Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon won the prestigious Champion Stakes on the day and then won Runner-up overall on the final day.

 

Louis sets another record for the Chayo kennel:

Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon is the first Malamute to win Best in Show at an All-Breed Championship Show in the UK... and he's done it twice!

It was back-to-back Best in Show wins for our amazing Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon, the current CC Breed Record Holder and the current Top Malamute in the UK.

At Bournemouth Championship Show, Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon wins Open Dog, Best Dog, Best of Breed, Working Group 1 & BEST IN SHOW.

At Paignton Championship Show, Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon wins Open Dog, Best Dog, Best of Breed & the CC and then takes Working Group 1 and BEST IN SHOW.

July 2008:

At Leeds Championship Show, Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon won Open Dog, Best Dog, Best of Breed and Group 3.

At East of England Championship Show Chayo Forget Me Not won Best Bitch Best of Breed. Topaz was shortlisted in the Group.

At National Working & Pastoral Breeds Championship Show, Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon won Open Dog, Dog CC and Best of Breed. Louis then went on to win Group 2.

At the 2008 World Dog Show in Stockholm, in the company of the finest Malamutes Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon prevailed in the strong Champion class and went on to win the Reserve CACIB & REserve World Winner from an entry of 110.

June 2008:

At Boras National Show in Sweden there was an entry of 3900 dogs. Breed judge was Mr Whitney Coombs from USA. BOB and CAC was won by Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon. BOS and CAC was won by his daughter Chayo Better Than Chocolate. The Group Judge was Granaas Hansend from Norway who gave Group 1 to Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon. Louis finished the day winning Best in Show under judge Elina Happaniemi from Finland.

At Blackpool Championship Show, Reserve Best Dog and the Reserve CC was won by Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon. Best Bitch was won by Chayo Better Than Chocolate.

At 3 Counties Championship Show, Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon wins Open Dog and Best of Breed and then went on take Group 1. 1st & 2nd in Junior Bitch were Chayo Better Than Chocolate and Chayo Snowflake of Monikoona. Better Than Chocolate went on take Reserve Best Bitch.

Chayo do the double again... At the Irish KC International Show Best of Breed and CACIB was won by Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon. Best Opposite Sex and CACIB was won by Chayo Forget Me Not.

May 2008:

At Southern Counties Championship Show, Chayo Better Than Chocolate won Reserve Best Bitch from the Junior class.

 

At Bath Championship Show Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon won Best Dog, Best of Breed and then went on to take Group 2. His daughter, Chayo Better Than Chocolate, won Junior Bitch and Best Bitch.

 

At SKC Ch. Show Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon won his 6th CC with Best of Breed. Louis then went on to win Group 1. Chayo Forget Me Not won Reserve Bitch CC, Chayo Better Than Chocolate won Junior Bitch and Chayo Aces High won Junior Dog. Chayo Better Than Chocolate won the PetPlan Junior Stakes and is now a Junior Stakes finalist for the competition in October!

 

In Wieze,  Belgium Pol. Jnr. Ch. Chayo Snowflake of Monikoona won BB, CAC and her first CACIB.

 

At Birmingham National, Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon won his 5th CC with BOB. He then went on to take Group 2. Reserve Bitch CC was won by Chayo Forget Me Not. Chayo Better Than Chocolate won the Junior class and Ch Chayo Moet Chandon was 3rd in Open Bitch.

Congratulations also to the other Chayo Mals who placed at the show: Chayo Aces High was winner of Junior Dog class owned by Laura Aitchison.  Chayo Alabamma Slammer ShCm was 3rd in Open Dog owned by Martin and Lynne Hall. At her first champ show 2nd Minor Puppy Bitch was Chayo Chasing Dreams with Articmonkey owned by Vicki Binns.

Chayo won the Breeder Stakes overall and qualified for the finals at Crufts 2009. Another first for Chayo as this will be the first time that a Malamute kennel will be in the Breeders Stakes finals.

April 2008:

At Fermoy Championship Show in Ireland, Ch Chayo Dom Perignon won his first CACIB and Ch Chayo Moet Chandon won her 3rd CACIB.

NEW CHAMPION: Chayo Snowflake at Monikoona, Izabella Nawrocka, becomes a Polish Junior Champion.

At Working & Pastoral Breeds of Wales, Best Of Breed, Best Bitch and Group 3 was Chayo Forget Me Not. Best Dog and Best Opposite Sex was Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon. Ch Chayo Dom Perignon was also a creditable 3rd in the Champion Stakes among strong competition

March 2008:

At Luxembourg International Chayo Forget me Not wins 2nd CACIB and BOS.

What a weekend for Ch. Chayo Blue Thunder and his daughters and it's another first for the Chayo kennel...

Ch. Chayo Blue Thunder is now an International Champion and is the first ever English and International Champion Malamute. At the Dublin Combined Canine Association Club Show, Ch. Chayo Blue Thunder won his 4th CACIB with Best of Breed and Group 2. Also at the Dublin Combined Show Chayo Forget Me Not won the CACIB and Best Opposite Sex. Thanks to Sam Dean of Abuklea Rottweilers for handling Topaz.

Champion Chayo Moet Chandon wins her second CACIB with Best of Breed, Group 1 and BS 3 at the Stockholm International Show.

Champion Chayo Moet Chandon wins her 1st CACIB and BOB and was shortlisted to the final seven for the Group at Malmoe International Show.

What an amazing day for Chayo at Crufts 2008. Louis won Open Dog and the Dog Challenge Certificate. Our sincere thanks go to Top American handler Laurie Jordan-Fenner who handled Louis on the day. Thanks to our judge, Breed Specialist Mrs. Jill Broadberry, for giving Louis his 4th Challenge Certificate and making him the new UK CC breed record holder.

February:

At Northwich & DCS Chayo Forget Me Not won Reserve Best of Breed and Chayo Gold Bullion won Best Puppy in Breed.

January 2008:

At Manchester Championship Show Chayo Forget Me Not won Best Bitch and Best of Breed. Reserve Best Bitch was won by Chayo Better Than Chocolate. Best Puppy in Breed was won by Chayo Gold Bullion. Gold was also 4th in the Puppy Stakes. Congratulations to Chayo Aces High, owned by Miss Aitchison, winning Junior Dog.

December 2007:

What a way to finish the year... the last show of the year, LKA Championship Show, and Chayo takes the top honours. Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon and Ch. Chayo Moet Chandon, 'do the double' winning the Best Dog and Best Bitch. Chayo Better Than Chocolate wins Best Puppy In Breed and Reserve Best Bitch. Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon then went on to take Group 2 to finish the year as the Top Winning Alaskan Malamute with the most Group placements won by any Malamute this year.

November:

We took Ch. Blue Thunder out to Belgium and Amsterdam this weekend and what a weekend he had! In Belgium, Blue win his second CACIB with Best of Breed and was shortlisted in the Group. Travelling on to the Winners Show in Amsterdam, Blue repeated this win, taking his 3rd CACIB with Best of Breed and again, being shortlisted in the Group. This win also gave Blue a further title and he is now Ch. Chayo Blue Thunder Winner 07!  

September 2007:

Open a bottle of bubbly because it's time to celebrate at Chayo. We are proud to announce that Chayo Dom Perignon has become the latest Chayo Champion!

There are only 3 Malamute Champions in the UK and they are Ch. Chayo Blue Thunder (Blue), his daughter Ch. Chayo Moet Chandon (Belle) and his son Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon (Louis). Only 2 Malamute Champions were crowned in 2007 and they were litter brother and sister Ch. Moet Chandon and Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon, both homebred and owner handled.

Ch. Chayo Dom Perignon won his third and crowning CC from the Limit Dog class at the AMCUK Championship Show under Top US Breed Specialist judge, Nancy Russell of the famous Stormkloud kennel. Louis finished Best Dog, Best Opposite Sex and Reserve Best in Show. It was father and son dominating the dog line-up with Louis' Sire, Ch. Chayo Blue Thunder winning Open Dog and the Reserve Dog CC. Many thanks to Ruth Hill for jumping in last minute in the Challenge and going on Blue and getting the RDCC. Louis' daughter, Chayo Better Than Chocolate, won 1st Puppy Bitch.

Congratulations to the other Chayo winners at AMCUK- 1st in Puppy Dog was Chayo Aces High, 2nd in Novice Dog was Chayo Talk of The North. Chayo Alabama Slammer at McKinleys won VHC Open Dog.  2nd in Puppy Bitch was won by Chayo Jewel of the Nile at Endor and VHC was Chayo Canadian Dream for Samjoe. 4th in Veteran Bitch was Chayo Vanilla Ice at Koldsnap.

 

At Driffield Championship Show Chayo Dom Perignon won Reserve Best Dog, Chayo Better Than Chocolate won Reserve Best Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed. A team of 5 Chayo Malamutes won the Pedigree Breeders Stakes on the day.

At Birmingham Championship Show, Chayo Dom Perignon won Best Dog, Best of Breed and Group 3. 1st Puppy Dog was won by Chayo Aces High, owned by Miss L. Aitchison. 1st Puppy Bitch was won by Chayo Better Than Chocolate with 2nd in Puppy Bitch being won by Chayo Jewel of The Nile at Endor, owned by Elspeth Newing. Chayo Better Than Chocolate won Best Puppy In Breed.

August 2007:

CHAYO make it 3 generations of Group winning Malamutes...

At SKC Championship Show, Chayo Dom Perignon wins Best Dog, Best of Breed and Working Group 1. Louis continues the family tradition being the third generation of Group winning Malamutes from this kennel and  following in the 'pawprints' of his Sire, Ch. Chayo Blue Thunder and his grandsire Bassbarr Kool Kustomer at Chayo.

Reserve Best Dog at SKC Championship Show was Chayo Alabama Slammer at McKinley's owned by Lynne and Martin Hall and 1st Limit Dog was Chayo Lazer Beam of Tikaani owned by Mrs E L A Primrose.

At Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show, Chayo Vanilla Ice at Koldsnap owned by Mrs. Sheikh won Open Bitch and the Bitch CC. Chayo Dom Perignon won 1st Limit Dog and Chayo The Real Thing at Snowstruck, owned by Mrs J. York, won 1st Postgraduate Dog.

July 2007:

At Paignton Championship Show, Chayo Dom Perignon won Best Dog, Best of Breed and his 2nd CC. Louis was then shortlisted in the Group. Ch. Chayo Moet Chandon won Best Bitch, Reserve Best Of Breed and the Reserve CC. Chayo Better Than Chocolate won 1st Puppy Bitch. At South Wales Kennel Association Championship Show under breed specialist Judge, Mr Keith Givens, Best Bitch and Best of Breed was Ch. Chayo Moet Chandon, Best Dog and Best Opposite Sex was Chayo Dom Perignon, and Best Puppy in Breed and Working Puppy Group 3 was won by Chayo Better Than Chocolate.

June 2007:

At Windsor Championship Show, Chayo Snowflake of Monikoona won Best Puppy in Breed, 'Artica' is owned by Isabella Nawrocka.
 

At Blackpool Championship Show, Chayo Better Than Chocolate wins 1st Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed. 2nd in Puppy Bitch was Chayo Jewel Of The Nile at Endor owned by Elspeth Newing. It was the first show for both Truffle and Akasha!

At Southern Counties Championship Show Ch. Chayo Moet Chandon wins 1st Open Bitch, Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex. Ch. Chayo Blue Thunder was 2nd in the Champion Stakes from a very large entry- a fantastic result! 1st in Postgraduate Bitch was Chayo True Blue owned by Donna & Jason.

May 2007:

It's champagne time because Chayo do it again...

At SKC, Chayo Moet Chandon wins her third CC to become the first ever UK Champion Malamute Bitch.

With this win Chayo have made breed history once again...

Ch. Chayo Moet Chandon won the first ever Bitch CC at Crufts 2006.

Chayo own and have bred the first ever UK Malamute Champion Dog and Bitch.

Ch. Chayo Moet Chandon is the daughter of the first UK Champion, Ch. Chayo Blue Thunder.

November 2006:

At Working and Pastoral Breeds of Scotland, Reserve Best Dog was Chayo Dom Perignon. Best Bitch was won by Can Ch Keikewabic Kiaranuk Chayo Tara (IMP) from the Junior class at only 13 months old. Reserve Best Bitch was Donna and Jason's Chayo True Blue.
 

October 2006:

At Midland Counties Championship Show Reserve best Dog was won by Chayo Dom Perignon.

Chayo Dom Perignon wins Reserve Best Dog at Driffield Championship Show. Reserve Best Bitch was Chayo True Blue owned by Donna and Jason Kelsey.

September 2006

At Belfast Championship Show, Ch. Chayo Blue Thunder won Open Dog, Best Dog and Best of Breed.

The first AMCUK Championship Show was held at Newark with an entry of 224. Chayo Dom Perignon takes his first CC from a large limit class and goes on to win Reserve Best In Show and Best Opposite Sex. Chayo Forget Me Not takes her first RCC from a large Open class where she placed 2nd.

Of the 14 CC's available this year the Chayo kennel has won 6 and 2 RCC.
3 CC's were won by Ch Chayo Blue Thunder. Blue is the first and only British Champion Malamute. The other 3 CC's were also won by Blue's progeny- Brother and sister Chayo Dom Perignon (also a RCC) and Chayo Moet Chandon, Chayo Sapphire Blue at Snowstruck (owned by Mrs Jane York) and an RCC won by her litter sister Chayo Forget me not.

Chayo is UK Top Malamute Kennel 2006 and Top Breeder 2006. Ch Chayo Blue Thunder is UK Top Malamute and UK top Malamute Stud Dog 2006.

It was champagne time as litter brother and sister Chayo Dom Perignon and Chayo Moet Chandon did the double at SKC! Louis won Limit Dog, Best Dog and Best of Breed and litter sister Belle won Limit Bitch and Best Bitch.

At Leeds Championship Show, Chayo Forget Me Not wins Open Bitch, Best of Breed and Group 3. Chayo Moet Chandon was 3rd in Open Bitch and the winner of the Junior Dog class was Chayo Talk Of The North.

CHAYO MAKE BREED HISTORY AT PAIGNTON CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW...

Chayo Blue Thunder wins his 3rd and crowning CC to become the first ever UK Champion Malamute. Doing it in style, Blue also won Best of Breed and Group 2.

At SWKA Championship Show, Chayo Blue Thunder took Best Of Breed and then won the Working Group under top all-round judge Mr. Terry Thorn. Reserve Best Dog was Chayo James Bond at Snowstruck. Best Puppy In Breed was won by Chayo the Real Thing. 1st Junior was Dog Chayo Talk of the North, 1st Post Grad Dog was won by Chayo Alabamma Slammer at McKinleys, 1st in the Junior Bitch class was Chayo True Blue and 2nd Junior Bitch was won by Chayo Midget Gem.

June 2006

At 3 Counties Championship Show, Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex was Chayo Forget Me Not, Reserve Best Bitch and Best Puppy In Breed was won by Chayo Midget Gem. Achak Domino won 1st Puppy Dog and Best Puppy Dog. 2nd in Puppy Bitch was Chayo In Your Eyes.

At Southern Counties Championship Show 1st and 2nd in Puppy Dog were Achak Domino  and Chayo The Real Thing. Chayo Talk Of The North won Junior Dog and Chayo Dom Perignon was 3rd in Limit Dog. Chayo In Your Eyes won Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed and Chayo Forget Me Not won Open Bitch, Best Bitch and Best of Breed.

May 2006

At Bath Championship Show, 1st Open Dog, Best Dog and Best of Breed was Chayo James Bond at Snowstruck. 2nd in Puppy Dog was Chayo The Real Thing. Chayo Sapphire Blue at Snowstruck won 1st Post Graduate Bitch.

At AMCUK  Chayo Talk of the North (Moochie) was Best Junior in Show.
 

CHAYO Malamutes 'do the double' at SKC

At SKC Championship Show, 1st Open Dog, Dog CC, Best of Breed and Working Group 2 was won by Chayo Blue Thunder. Blue's son Chayo Dom Perignon won Postgraduate Dog and the Reserve Dog CC.

A BIG thank you to Sam Dean of Abuklea Rottweilers who handled Louis to his first RCC.

Chayo Sapphire Blue at Snowstruck, owned by Jane York won Postgraduate Bitch and the Bitch CC. The Limit Dog class was won by Chayo Alabama Slammer at McKinleys. 2nd in Postgraduate Dog was Chayo Lazer Beam of Tinkaani and 2nd in Open Bitch was Chayo Forget Me Not. 3rd, 4th & 5th in Puppy Bitch were Chayo True Blue, Chayo Loveheart and Chayo Lavender Lady.

At Birmingham Championship Show, Achak Domino won 1st Minor Puppy Dog & Best Puppy In Breed. Chayo Dom Perignon won 1st Postgraduate Dog. First and second in the Limit Dog class were won by Chayo Alabama Slammer at McKinley's and Keikewabics Shepherdsway Chayo. Chayo Blue Thunder was 3rd in the Open Dog class. Chayo In Your Eyes won 1st Minor Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy Bitch. Chayo True Blue and Chayo Midget Gem were 3rd and VHC in the Puppy Bitch class. 2nd in Junior Bitch was won by Chayo Northern Quest.

April 2006

At WELKS Championship Show, Chayo In Your Eyes won AVNSC Working Reserve Best Bitch and Best Puppy. This was Lily's first show! Chayo Midget Gem was 2nd to Chayo In Your Eyes in the Puppy class and Chayo Sapphire Blue won 1st in Postgraduate.

At Working & Pastoral Breeds of Wales Championship Show, Chayo Blue Thunder won his 32nd Best of Breed and Group 3. Returning to the ring after a 10 month break, Chayo Forget Me Not won Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex with Reserve Best Bitch being won by Chayo Sapphire Blue. Topaz was handled beautifully by Louise Paterson. Youngest in his class, baby Domino (Achak Domino) was placed 2nd.

At Newcastle (Staffs) and DCS, Judge Helen Burke gave Best of Breed to Chayo Dom Perignon who then  won Working Group 2.  Best Puppy In Breed was won by Chayo Lavender Lady who then went on to win the puppy group.

Crufts

Chayo Alaskan Malamutes make breed history at Crufts 2006 where Challenge Certificates were on offer for the first time in Alaskan Malamutes.

Chayo Moet Chandon wins 1st Limit Bitch and the first ever Bitch CC.

The Chayo kennel is now the first UK Malamute kennel to win a Challenge Certificate.

Litter brother to Belle, Chayo Dom Perignon, won 1st Postgraduate Dog and congratulations also to Chayo Sapphire Blue at Snowstruck owned by Jane York winning 1st Postgraduate Bitch. Congratulations to all the other Chayo Malamutes who did so well at Crufts with class placings: Chayo Blue Thunder, Chayo Talk of The North, Chayo Black Mischief, Chayo Lazer Beam of Tikaani, Chayo Alabama Slammer at McKinleys and Chayo Star of the North at Crisleja.

February 2006

At Ashton under Lyne District KA Chayo Dom Perignon won Best AVNSC and Working Group 1. Chayo Talk Of The North, owned by Jo Sugden and Zoe Blackwood, won Best Puppy AVNSC and Puppy Working Group 3.

A great start to the year at Manchester Championship Show with Chayo Dom Perignon winning 1st Post Graduate Dog and Chayo Moet Chandon 1st Post Graduate Bitch. Chayo Dom Perignon then went on to win Reserve Best Dog. Chayo Chilli The Heat Is On owned by Lynsey Bullen won 1st Puppy Dog and Chayo Lavender Lady, owned by Mr & Mrs Isherwood, won 1st Puppy Bitch and then went on to win Best Puppy in Breed.

Chayo Dom Perignon (Louis) wins Best AVNSC and Working Group 1 at Heywood and Radcliffe CS.

2005 was a great year with Chayo Blue Thunder (Blue) finishing the year as the UK No. 1 Malamute for the third consecutive year! Blue was also runner-up Top Rare Breed 2005. Thank you to all the judges who thought so highly of 'Blue'.

Following in his Dad's footsteps, Chayo Dom Perignon (Louis) also made us proud by ending 2005 as the UK Joint Top Malamute Puppy.
